2006 Martin 000C-16GTE Neck Reset Question- M&T
Hey Everyone- I have a Martin 000c-16 that is in bad need of a neck reset- Anyone have any experience with this particular model? It’s a mortise and tenon. Will I have more luck using steam or foam cutters? Anything to watch out for?

Gentleman,
I’m in doubt of switching glue. I will for sure keep using Titebond but swapping from the Original to the II Premium or III Ultimate.
Any feedback on those compared to the Original?

They all have their uses. Generally, original is the easiest to “reverse” because of its susceptibility to heat and moisture. That being said, Michael Baskin did a video on making binding and purpling and uses III because it is more resistant to heat so won’t delaminate while bending. Of course probably I can give a little more context:
I keep the wood stored and monitored frequently to keep the moisture level at a constant rate. I glued a 10mm roasted flame maple top over a 1pc black limba body, that I had both stored since 4 year. They were absolutely dead flat, and even if I usually leave room for a last fine grit…

Headstock re-break and old glue residue
Hi Matt, I would say that if it was Titebond that was used, there is a good chance that enough glue wasnt used since there is enough wood surface that a proper glue-and-clamp with Titebond should have held fine.
