    I was thinking it would be kind of cool to have a community spread sheet for guitars. Repair guys see a huge variety of instruments. We could include a REW spectrum as Well as maybe the T(1,1)1 and T(1,1)2 labeled. A monopole mobility measurement and bridge rotation measurement would be great too. All who have Giulianos book can make these measurements easily. It would just be a willingness to share and input data for the community.

    What kind of doc would you use to do this. Could a google sheet handle this ?

      I think so. I believe Giuliano’s spreadsheets that are avilable through his book are google sheets. And we could make the settings and open editing format. So it’s always growing.

        If someone makes it, I’ll give it sticky status for this forum.

    I think this would be super valuable as well. Particularly since I am starting off myself. I have made a link here for this purpose. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1E2_WxJWw5OO-5HeMjnzh71jkfNu2e3Dj/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=105142785940679927549&rtpof=true&sd=true

      Would this be a good thing to post as a sticky to this forum ?

    That spreadsheet is from the book. it has good information about the materials for calculating a soundboard or back thickness. We could potentially have a spreadsheet like this pinned. This is always valuable data to builders. and a large database to reference would be very interesting.

    But i was thinking a spreadsheet that displays funcionality of finished instruments. the monopole mobility measurements. bridge rotation, a spectrum embedded with the first modes of vibration. Any other data we can think of.

    Then we can compare side by side the functionality of these instruments. See how bad the factories are screwing us.

    Of course we want to input the make and model and probly information like bracing style as well. We should come up with a list of information we would like to see in the spreadsheet.

      Hello everyone

      It’s a great idea Anthony; I would say that we can keep the DevTools sheet, and design together a generic acoustic guitar SpekSheet, that we can use to build a shared database.

      If it’s OK with you guys I can propose a first draft of the SpekSheet;

      Cheers,

      Giuliano

    I’m excited to see it grow quickly with so many repair people starting to take measurements.

    Doug seems very excited about taking measurements. I hope he inputs every guitar that comes across his bench!

    Hi everybody,

    I found the time to add a first tab to the excel sheet, for general parameters of the instrument; the xls file is ready, where can I pin it?
