KT that might be a really good job to pass on. A crack like that makes me wonder what the bridge plate looks like. Have you taken a gander ?

Hey KT, I just made a bridge for a 70s Gibson Dove. It’s the same shape and I have a plywood template so could quickly cut the outer shape into some ebony and send it or just send you a template. Unfortunately the pearl inlay is the tricky part here. If that part you’re not comfortable with I’d get in contact with Tom Dalia. You can send him the bridge and he can CNC you a perfect replacement. He’s a looth group member.

Thanks Ian and Spencer I really appreciate your input. My apologies for the delayed response.

I have looked at the bridge plate and it’s not in bad shape. It has some wear, but nothing that would warrant replacing it in my book. I proposed capping it with some maple to the customer and he said he would be open to it.

Spencer I might take you up on that. I’m still waiting to hear back on if he wants to move forward on it. I gave him a pretty substantial quote on it, and that was without any inlay work. His intention is to flip it for a profit, but he is pretty green to the vintage guitar market. Let me reach back out once I hear back from him. Thanks again for your help.
