Dulcimer pickups

    Hi gents,

Do any of you have a favorite dulcimer pickup?

The Folkcraft NT11 sounds really nice from the demo, but they’re not available.

I’m having trouble recommending a pickup to my customer, I’m not sure to go with a transducer, mic, or piezo in this situation. I’d like to go less invasive if possible, but cutting holes is not out of the question.

A while back I pretty much quit installing anything but K and K pickups. My hunch is this uke pickup would work well. Please qualify this as a hunch though. Their guitar pickups are the best sound for the least effort and money imo. I imagine this would take some experimentation to find the sweet spot.

Thanks Ian. I was considering one of those, but not sure how I’d install the pads as the sound holes on this particular Dulcimer are tiny…

I’ll have to think on it
