F5 Modeling attempt.

This is a repost from the main feed so it is in the correct forum.

The recent F5 CAD modeling video inspired me to take a stab at it. I use Fusion 360 and have already completed a full A5 model that I’m using to prepare a lot of parts for my CNC. The F5 top seems intimidating. I focused on modeling the scroll alone for now. I didn’t pay attention to following a plan, or having perfect dimensions, or getting the curves to look perfect this time around. I just wanted to work through to procedure first. My goal was to have a clean and fully constrained sketch so I could modify dimensions without the model breaking. I’d love to hear people’s thoughts on the results. And I’m happy to answer any questions.

This looks really good. I was thinking it might be interesting to record you modeling that. Would you be into trying that on a zoom call with me and adding it to this post ?

I’d love to! I’ll need to do a little bit of clean up to the file. Then it would be easy to walk through.

This is looking really great. If you’d like to come on 3d club and talk about it, let me know. The next meeting is this coming Monday and we’ll be talking more about the top modeling.

I’d love to share. I’ve completed the entire top now. It lands right in the middle of my work day. I’ll see if I can sneak off for an hour to attend.
