Hi all! I am new here, and really excited to be a part of the community. I am starting a new build, a 6 string semi hollow carved top with Tremolo bridge and Piezo. I'd appreciate some input to choose the best system out there. I haven't used/fixed/installed a tremolo with piezo bridge lately. Hey guys, does anybody know of a good alternative to mixol? I use it in lacquer for mixing opaque colors and it's great but I've been on the lookout for something more affordable and haven't had much luck. Wondering if anybody here knows of anything. Thanks!

I didn't see the big dent, but figured its an opportunity to practice another type of repair. big chunks of polyurethane finish are gone and the bit that's left has a hairline crack around the bottom. A good value for masking tape: DOAY Brand 4 Pack White Painters Tape. 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1" Sizes in one 4 pack. I have been using this for a few months and it performs as well as the orange SM product. The current price is $5.98 for all four rolls.The quantity per roll is smaller, but still a value. Comes in four colors. I like the white. Found on Amazon.

I have repaired numerous top crack on this instrument built by a customer at a guitar building camp. The bridge was off and warped. That has been addressed. After gluing with hide glue and splining the crack these top two did not closed as much as I would have liked. The bigger is about 1/32 at the widest and the other about 1/64.
