Over the years have made several fixed angle bucks to hold necks while carving. They have always worked great but I needed several of them to accommodate different headstock angles and styles. Shop space and convenience was the inspiration for this design.
It should be able to accommodate most headstock shapes and angles.
The tapered neck holder for the top has a 12” concave radius. I sanded my radius into mine. You can cover in cork or foam but I find that when covered in a foam it also has the benefit of letting the frets sink into the foam a bit. The foam sheets can be for on Amazon here: shorturl.at
The wood portion of this can be made from anything you have lying around the shop. MDF, plywood ect. I made mine specifically to clamp into my Black and Decker workmate but you could alter it to clamp where ever you need.
The zip file includes all .stl files including the 1/4-20 knobs as well as .3mf files with infill settings. I recommend printing the slides at 30% infill using adaptive cubic. PLA or PETG is fine.
You’ll also need:
Four 3” 1/4-20 bolts and matching nuts.
Eight 1/4" x 1-1/4 Fender washers
