I wanted an inspection light that I could move to the guitar rather than the guitar to the light, and I've dinged too many tops with falling task lights or rolling flashlights, so it was time.
This requires two purchased components (flashlight and mirror with links below) and five printed parts. Based on your printer and settings, you may need to either open the bore for the light or pack tape in to ensure a tight fit. You don't want anything coming apart and falling on a pristine top. I would also add a few dabs of glue to secure the Mirror Base to the Main Housing for the same reason.
The Pivot Plugs require a 1/4" diameter hole, and you will likely need to clean up the holes in the Main Housing and Light Housing.
Regarding the sourced parts, below are critical dimensions if you have something that you want to make work.
