  1. I’m excited to see GoodWinds pop up as a vendor here. They’re great. I’ve been buying their FWET (filament wound epoxy tubing) for a decade to use as cores for my flat pack spinning wheel bobbins (www.akerworks.com/collections/flat-pack-bobbins). I also source solid carbon fiber rod from them as shafts for our drop spindles and Lazy Kates. Anyway, they’ve been rock solid reliable. They’re a small outfit, brother-sister owned and operated, Leland often answers the phones.

    They have various custom machining capabilities, for those makers who want to outsource the messier parts of composites work to a place set up to handle that stuff. Ask ’em!
