Times are changing!
I’m doing a shop cleanup and parting with boxes of body and pickguard templates I’ve collected over the years. Most of these were made for one-off jobs that I’ll likely never repeat, but I still hung onto them “just in case.”
The real reason I’m letting them go is that my workflow has shifted—CNC and 3D printing have become…

You’re a hero to me, Mr Roadman. Clearing stuff out of your shop without a court order? Man, I’ve seen it all now!

Acoustic build - documenting on instagram
I’ve been documenting progress of an acoustic kit build from Amazon over on Instagram, would love for some feedback from those that know more than I do. My goal is to build only with the materials provided in the kit, though I’m definitely using as many tools as I have at my disposal. I’m not expecting a quality instrument at the end of it, but…

In search of an Epiphone FT-130 (similar to FT-140 and FT-150) bridge with adjustable saddle for a client. Current market is seemingly tapped out, and replacements found online are simply too wide and bulky looking replicas fabricated overseas. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This bridge is off a 1970 FT 145. It has superficial cracks around the top of the pin holes that do not go all the way through the bridge and can easily be filled.

Truss Rod Length - Is there a "rule of thumb"?
Friends – My “go-to” truss rod for my basses has been the rod sold by LMII; however, since they are now out of business, I am evaluating what other rods are suitable for bass guitar necks. The attached photos are all showing truss rod lengths from the front edge of the nut slot location on the blank. One photo shows my last LMII rod (23 1/2″…

Seeking Mid 70's Martin D28 High Action Assesment Input And Recommendations
I inherited a 70’s D28 that is a players instrument. The action is too high for me, but the saddle is bottomed out. There is no obvious belly bulge. The top of the bridge has been shaved. Bridge pin holes are uneven in diameter. However, the bridge placement seems pretty close; within 1/32″. A straight edge on the fret board sits about 1/8″…
