  A Parlor Guitar Mystery

  This is a “Rex” parlor guitar, perhaps from the 30s. It has what appears to be an original bridge plate (probably maple) with pin holes. There are no pin holes in the spruce top, and it has not been plugged. How did that happen?

  Interesting. Must have just had that plate kicking around with holes already in it and they decided to reduce, reuse and recycle it.
