  Where do you source decorative sheet metal/mesh for gold foil pickups?

  Having scoured forums for links to a good source for sheet metal to use for open humbucker covers I’ve come up empty. Anyone here have any pointers for where to get metal mesh material for gold foil style pickups?

  Im not sure, but Mike Brauer, RIP, made this a while back. I never did get the files, but it could be worth trying to reproduce.

  Canadian suppliers Solo Guitars (Silver, Black, Gold) and NextGen Guitars (Pink, Blue, Silver, Black, Gold) both offer it. I believe Solo offers aluminum and steel and NextGen aluminum:
