    Customer stated he snapped the end off the truss rod trying to adjust. Action was too high. I have not seen the bass yet. As I remember (haven’t worked on one in decades) it has 2 rods inserted through the body end of the neck. There is a nut at that end. I don’t think re tapping the threads is an option as it would shorten the rod too much? Anyone ever performed this repair or have any ideas? Thanks

    This could be a double action rod. If so, there is a small chance you can pull the rod out through the adjustment pocket and replace. If not, there may be nothing for it but to pull the board to replace.
