The 3rd edition of the International Lutherie Competition is dedicated to the viola. It will take place from January 14 to 18, 2026, during the 12th String Quartet Biennial. Organized in partnership with the Talents & Violon’celles endowment fund, the competition, launched in 2022, is open to two categories: “Talents of Tomorrow”, reserved for students of violin making, and “Talents of Today”, reserved for professional luthiers. Application opening: January 31, 2025. Closing date for entries: November 24, 2025
