  • Experience with Alvarez bridges?

    Hey all,

I have had this Alvarez RD26 come in with what I thought would just be a pretty standard reglue, but at second glance I noticed that the tongue of this bridge has next to no glue almost up to the bridge pin holes and looks as though it has lifted and kinda warped because of it. The rest of the bridge is perfectly glued.

Quick search of these looks to show this to be a common issue. My main concern is potentially cracking the tongue while clamping and glueing. Any thoughts??

I would definitely try bending that with heat before glueing it back on. You could do it with a flat piece of steel or aluminum. Just get it hot and clamp it flat overnight.
