Frank’s Crank final run?
Anyone know the story on recently sold Frank’s Cranks? I bought this from someone selling on one of the forums and it is nice, but slightly different than the others I have from years past. Glad to have another one. All mine are large size, including this one, but the dimensions are a little different on this one.

That connecting rod looks way longer than the one I have.

Ian. Yeah that’s right. Here are my three. 2015, 2019, and 2024.

I have several of the original versions and one of the later ‘final’ assemblies. The latest version lacks the same cushioned feel on the bearing surfaces.
Beyond the differences in dimensions and materials, I wonder if the type of grease used inside the handle has changed or if the tolerances have been adjusted.
Whichever version you have, they are still the best string winders I have ever used.
