Anyone ever done any advertising? What things did you highlight? We’ve got a videographer in our shop for two days next week to record. We are doing several short social media ads and one longer video that will live on Youtube. We have a great local following, but plan to target a 100 mile radius. WE regularly get people driving that far. Curious what you’ve learned were good things to focus on.

I cannot speak for paid advertising but practically all of the success that I’ve had in business can be traced back to my online presence. My website, social media platforms and Google Business profile are the lifeblood of my business. It’s simply how people find me.

In case anyone is interested. Here is the video we made for our shop. This will live on Youtube and Facebook. Probably on the website for a while. For me it was just great to document this point in our history.

That is a fantastic video, I have so many questions but I’ll show some restraint. Did catalyst come to you to shoot video or did you just send them all the media and they assembled it?

They filmed in our shop for two days. Most of that video was filmed in one day. The reason we did two days, is because we also filmed some shorter social media posts (30 second) that were filmed in portrait mode rather than landscape like the youtube one. They were really good too but I haven’t decided how to use them. This one tells a better story.
