Hey all. I’ve used zpoxy quite a lot as a sealer both on open grain hardwoods, and soft woods to give it a bit of surface hardness. *Very* thin coats. Usually 3.
To combat any adhesion issues I’ve used a washcoat of shellac, before a clearcoat of lacquer or French polish. The disadvantage is how long each coat takes to cure.

Refretting a Stella Harmony from 1964
61 year old Stella Harmony with brass frets. Fret board is poplar. It needs refretting and I want to try doing it myself given the cost of the guitar was $70 bucks, hiring a pro will cost way more. A lot of fret pullers heads are too flat and this makes them hard to get under frets. Heads need to be angled so that tips can work…

Hi, I have been sent a couple pics from a customer and they want to know what guitar they have.
No branding and not something I recognise.
It looks old though, tortoiseshell binding.
But tail pice looks on the cheaper side of things.
Any pointers to identify this one would be greatly appreciated.
Apologies for the bad photos. I didn’t take them!
